Influenza ("flu") is medically defined as "a contagious viral infection mainly affecting the nose, throat, airways, and lungs." The flu comes around every year, usually from November to March, and symptoms (fever, headache, muscle aches, cough, runny nose, fatigue) are uncomfortable but usually not dangerous.
